  • 1 package (16 oz) Vanilla CANDIQUIK® Candy Coating
  • 24 Round Shortbread Cookies
  • 12 Large Marshmallows, frozen
  • Decorative Icing and Sprinkles
  • Oil or powder based food colorings and flavorings (optional)

Yield: 24 bonnets

instructions
  1. Melt CANDIQUIK® Candy Coating in Melt and Make Microwaveable Tray™ according to directions on package. (To create different colored or flavored bonnets, mix oil or powder based colorings and flavorings into CANDIQUIK® Candy Coating after melting.)
  2. Dip cookies in melted CANDIQUIK® Candy Coating. Place on wax paper to set.
  3. Cut frozen marshmallows in half with a sharp knife (tops of bonnets), dip in melted CANDIQUIK® Candy Coating. Place marshmallows on wax paper to dry.
  4. When cookies and marshmallows are completely dry, attach marshmallow to center of coated cookie with dab of melted CANDIQUIK® Candy Coating.
  5. When bonnets are dry, decorate as desired.

SUGGESTIONS: Pipe ribbon of icing for hatband, add bow design, create dots and flowers on bonnets or decorate with sprinkles.
