- 1 package (16 oz) Vanilla CANDIQUIK® Candy Coating
- Sugar cookie (recipe below)
- Duck shaped cookie cutter
- Yellow food coloring (oil or powder based only)
- Decorative sprinkles and/or colored sugars
- Black and orange cake writing icings

- 2-3/4 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 1-1/2 cups white sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

- Bake sugar cookies according to recipe below; cool completely.
- Melt CANDIQUIK® Candy Coating in Melt and Make Microwaveable Tray™ according to directions on package.
- Add yellow (oil or powder based) food coloring to melted CANDIQUIK® Candy Coating.
- Dip the top sides of cooled cookies in melted CANDIQUIK® Candy Coating.
- Before coating sets, decorate with sprinkles and/or colored sugars.
- Once dry, draw beak and eye using cake writing icings.

- Preheat oven to 375° F. In a small bowl, mix flour, baking soda, and baking powder. Set aside.
- In a large bowl, mix softened butter and sugar until smooth. Add egg and vanilla. Slowly add dry ingredients while mixing well.
- Spread flour on surface, and use rolling pin to flatten dough, cut with duck cookie cutter.
- Bake 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven, or until golden brown. Let cool on cookie sheet for 2 minutes before transferring to cooling rack.
